In this latest of a series of projects for, Dependable Auto Shippers, a nation-wide automobile shipper, we are adding advanced route optimization capabilities to the route management system we developed for them previously. The route optimization algorithms, originally developed by Systems View for Route Factory Spreadsheet, are being adapted to their interactive, web-based routing tool. The software implements specializations of classic Tabu Search and GENI algorithms. The dispatch team will be given the capability to dynamically update current routes by pulling in optimized revisions, making any needed manual adjustments, and then deploying the routes to the fleet.
